The Dinans springs lower the car by .5 - .75 inch. I used a thicker spring pads (10mm) to give more lift at the rear since I'm planning on using 255/35/18 tires. There is no gap at the rear, a finger gap at the front but you can't really tell unless you look very close. This is a good setup since I'm planning to put on the Rieger kit so I want the clearance at the front.
As far as the cost, it's $400 from Dinan but $360 from Brecht BMW. The spring pads is about $20/pair. I was going to piggy-back the spring pads to give it more uplift but it wasn't necessary. The ride is smooth (streetable) and I don't have to worry about running over bumps.
I hope this helps.
: Can you give me an idea how much the Dinan spring set lowered the suspension on the M3 Convertible? I understand they are the only manufacturer with (rear) springs for the M3C. I am currently running stock springs with Bilstien's, but would like to lower...
