It was my understanding from a couple BMW dealers that with M3s coming with dino, it was best to leave dino-oil in until the engine rings are seated well. If you change too early the rings will never seat and you'll have oil burning. They say minimum before the syn change if that is what the owner wants is 17000 miles.
