: : Was getting my track tires out of storage and noticed they are blue in certain areas. The storage was not climate controlled. Could the cold have caused this? They may have been that way when I stored them last fall, but I can't remember.

: The blue is where the tire has been overheated. It won't we sticky in those spots but overall the tire is probably still good for autocrossing or a driving school. The storage did not cause this, your driving did. :-)

Is there a way to prevent this? Or just don't drive them hard for a long period of time? Do you think another DOT-R tire would have done this?
Thanks, sorry for all the ?'s.
