but I'm not missing the point. I agree that it would be nice if BMW would put a rev-limiter on the downshift or some type of lock-out mechanism, but they don't. It isn't inevitable that you are going to over-rev your car though, many people drive just fine in their m3's without this problem. I'm willing to bet that there won't necessarily be a rev limiter on the new m3's for the downshift, but there will be stronger motor and tranny mounts to help solve this problem, or lastly it won't even be an issue. We are in agreement for the most part on this issue, where we differ is who is to blame for an overrev occuring. From what I can tell, you are about as stubborn as I am, so I don't think we will ever be in complete agreement. No hard feelings john W.
