: Thanks for all the information.

: I just had a ride in this guy's Dinan SCed Mcoupe and damn was it fast! I know the Mcoupe is faster than the M3 to begin with, but, it also has the same 3.2 liter engine as the 96+ M3s (I was told that the SC was identical to the one for the OBDII M3s...construction, HP gains, etc.). Anyway, he recently got his car dynoed at Competition BMW in CT and from the rear wheels, his output was 315HP. I didnt get the figures on the torque measurements, but that was the correct figure and he does have the papers to back it up. Im not sure if comparing the HP gains between the 2 cars is a fair assessment, but since the engine and SC is the same, i would imagine the HP gains would be too????

Bill,

Please explain: First, I got my Dinan Stage II SC, bought and installed, at the same Competition and Sports Cars Ltd in Greenwich. They Had No Dyno!!! I believe they had access to a dyno down the road at the Ferrari dealer, but they didnt take any customers cars there...However, there is a Red M Coupe which is the General Manager's Demo car which has the same Dinan Stage II Supercharger kit, which after I test drove it, convinced me to order mine....Is this the M coupe you were in ? Yes, its damn fast...But, no faster than my M3. So, you say, 315 at the wheels...Damn....that's 381 hp at the crank!! Are you sure?! Its only rated by Dinan at 354.

>I didnt get the figures on the torque measurements, but that was the correct figure and he does have the papers to back it up. <
Again, please advise, is this the Red Demo Cpe from Competition? And, where are the papers from....Remember, Competition does not have a Dyno! If so, yes, it is the same setup as mine, and its quite fair to extrapolate hp and torque figures between the SC'd cpe and the m3

Thanks for the info....I knew my car was fast, but I really didnt think it had 381 hp!
