When you say your wheel "bottomed out" are you saying that you hit the rim?
If so, you might want to get your rim checked to make sure you didn't dent it. On my old car with 16 inch rims I bent 4 at different times. All of which the damage was on the inside lip of the rim/tire, so you might not be able to see it.
Otherwise it could be your alignement or suspension depending on how hard you hit it.
