I'm also pretty close to my first service and remember some of the service horror stories from this list. I decided to call two dealerships, Allison and Stevens Creek BMW, to ask a few questions and get a feel of their service department. When I called the service department at Stevens Creek, I got their voicemail and left a message. About an hour and a half later, I received a return call and asked my questions. The service representative didn't seem very friendly, more like I was bothering them. I bought my M3 at this dealership and have always thought of them as the Cosco of BMW dealerships, no personal service and high volume. The sales person even put a broken flashlight in the glove box and told me to warranty it at the next service.
Allison BMW on the other hand sounded great. I got a representative from their service department immediately. They were calm, friendly and very helpful. They even offered to look up my VIN to check on warranty and recalls, and offered to do the repair if I didn't get the amber service light before a full year.
So far, Allison is my choice. If anyone has a better dealer, please let me know.
: I'll be having Inspection I soon...
: from reading some of your comments/posts here about BMW Service Department, I am really worried to bring my car to a bad Dealer.. I'm afraid my car ended up having more problems than before I put in there..
: Gosh.. maybe I should sell my car and get a Lexus or Mercedes or HoNDA!
: Anyway... I'm thinking of going to Steven Creeks or Claridge for my Inspection I...
: from your experience, which one would you recommend me ??? Please let us know...
