: Guys,

: I have the following mods on my '95 325i

: Jim C chip
: ES Tunging exhaust

: I keep hearing people say that the intake noise is awesome at WOT. However, I can't tell if what I'm hearing is intake sound or not because first, I hear the VANOS marbles in a jar sound really well, and second, I hear the scream of my exhaust at WOT. Could those two things prevent me from picking out the intake sound with my ears from the driver's seat?
: I even tried to stick my head out the window while I go WOT, but it's hard u know...

: Thanks,
: Jimmy

You might want to try making sure that it points down. Also make sure that there is a channel open for cold air to get in. I actually went ahead and relocated the horn to clear the channel for the intake. I also had to bend to bend the bar that holds it in place a little to get a better placement of the filter. experiment a little and see what happens. You should open your window stick your head out a little and you'll hear a sucking sound when you hit the gas. If not then try try again. if you still don't get the results you want... throw it away and buy Jim C's (no flames please) hope this helps. and try not to get too frustrated.
