It is the best alarm that you will ever need, all those fancy features that the clifford offers will just run a big price tag and a hell of a lot of false alarms ad other bullshit. Get the middle of the line viper alarm, it has everyhitng that you need and a custom m3 bracket that easily installs into an m3 with no wire splicing.
Good Luck.
: Alarm gurus, please help.
: I've come to two offers for Clifford alarms. One of them is the Intelliguard 8000 series and another one is the Avantguard 4. Both of them are G4s and both are loaded with features. The only thing that the 8000 missing is the Glass Tempering sensor and the only things that the Avantguard 4 does not come with are an Omni sensor and a Clifford siren.
: My question is, the 8000 is a slightly used alarm which was installed on a Bimmer before and I was able to work out a good deal on it (the selling is asking $280 for it) and the Avantguard is brand new but will cost me $320 plus a Clifford siren. Which alarm should I go with? The 8000 or the Avantguard? Any experience with the Avantguard before?
: Since both these alarms are loaded aren't they pretty similar in terms of features and specs. Should I get the new one or the used one? Any advantage/disadvantage of choosing between new and used alarms?
: Thanks, your inputs are greatly appreciated since I have to make up my mind asap.

: Jon
