: hi,
: i need some infos on Jim C. chip.
: i drive a 97 M3 and thinking about getting the JC chip.
: is JC chip the best?

Most people I know (including me) think JimC's is the best.

: im wondering without the intake, will i feel the difference just from the JC chip along?

Yes. Not only will you feel the additional HP & torque, you'll also feel better drivability: smoother power delivery throughout the RPM range, less abrupt throttle shutoff when lifting off the throttle.

: btw, does the JC chip have any side-effects such as rough idle, etc.?

No side-effects whatsoever (well, gas mileage may take a dip, 'cause it sooo much fun to use your right foot :-))

Hope that helps,
Jim Bassett
1998 M3/4 - JimC SW since 2/99, JimC intake since 12/99 (and a handful of other mods :-))
