In Reply to: Paul, i know you mentioned something about.... posted by bill on February 09, 2000 at 16:52:43:

: an aftercooler (a few months back) that would be coming out relatively soon. Was that something Dinan had told you about? I talked to my rep and he knew nothing about an aftercooler from Dinan or any talks about one coming out from them anytime soon.

I spoke with Dinan about ten days ago. The rep was either not well informed or holding out on me, but here is the scoop:

Air-air intercooler is still currently being tweaked for the M-Roadster/coupe. The reason they went here first was, according to the rep, thermal problems are worst with the Roadster. M3s, of course, will follow. 9psi / 400 hp / 370 lb ft are real numbers, but the schedule is TBD!

For those with a Dinan SC under the hood already, there WILL be an economical upgrade path that leaves only a few pipes on the floor. Pricing and schedule, need I say, are TBD!

98M3/2 No SC yet!
