: What has your gas mileage done since your mods? I have a 95 M3, and am considering the JimC Chip/Intake, and drive 25K per year. Currently I am averaging around 25 MPG, and would like to get an idea of what effect these will have. Let's assume that we use the right foot the same as before the mods. Thanks in advance.

It's hard for me to say, because I only drove the car about 4 months stock and only did 2 driver schools (which are NOT good for gas mileage :-)). But during that time my MPG was about 21.3 or so (combo street, freeway, stop-n-go commuting).

Since the Sharking (Feb 99), my overall MPG is down about 1MPG - 20.3 or so. However, in that same time period I've done 20+ track days, a handful of autox, and a LOT of WOT driving and redline shifting :-)

I can achieve 26-28MPG on a leisurly freeway cruise, but what fun is that? :-)

I would say you'd see an imperceptable change in MPG if any. And it'll be offset by the improved drivability & fun.
