I bought my ERT S/C used with 10k miles on it for $4k, which included a dinan TB and Dinan CAI. I'd either be patient and wait for one, or go with ERT's sale price on the S/C if you're in the northeast, since installation is only $300 at ERT. A used turbo I would only buy from AA direct, since they refurbish the units for resale. My 92 325i is very quick now-233 hp to the wheels. Although I rode in a totally souped up and S/C'd cobra mustang last night and that thing is scary fast, but has already destroyed its tranny and other parts. Good luck.

: I'm looking to buy a turbo or super charger used. Is this a bad idea? I haven't put any used parts on my car yet, everything's original... including the owner. I really want the power but I don't have 6 grand to spend, more like 3Gs. I've heard that seals might be bad and those can only be checked once its installed, true?

: Should I take the risk? Or should I wait till I can afford a new one?

: Is there anyone out there selling their turbo or supercharger?

: Thanks for any help
