That's not what they said. ODBII is very adaptive you have to be very carefull how you measure else you'll get inaccurate data. The C&D article was hardly scientific. It would be great if someone switched stock and modifed ECU's (if that's possible) on the same car with the same gas and ran dyno's one right after and posted the results. That would be the best way to mitigate external factors. It is true that there is more improvement with older BMW's but there is more HP to be had with the new cars as well. Because of the lack of third-party tests, customer testimonials is your best source of information on which to judge. But remember, don't expect a tremendous boost with 96+ cars. Whether the gain is worth the cost is a personal call.
BTW, I have the JimC intake & software and recommend both.
: and torque. They say all it is good for is to remove rev limit and top speed. Is this really true? Jim I just bought your software upgrade and I would love to hear your imput on this matter. I heard that you said it was due to enviromental chages etc. but I need a better reason than that to justify my $399.00.Please assure me that this is not true, and roundel mag has no idea what they are talking about. What are your final claims on the torque/HP/ 0-60mph improvement after this chip? Myself and a lot of others are listening. Thanks.
