Read more carefully... gains at PEAK are the not the same as MAX gains. Jim C's chip increases power by 34 hp at some point in the RPM range (not at peak HP), and 19 hp at peak HP.

Remember that although the M3 motor is rated at 240 hp, it only makes 240 *at* 6000 rpm. It makes more like 200 hp at 4000 rpm. So, Jim's chip might give you 234 at 4000 rpm and a peak of 259 at 6000 rpm. Clear?
