dang, since i got my 95 m3, i've always had a hunch that they wouldn't be as quick as the 3.2's, and many sources confermed that, but i guess i was wrong....awesome, i'm very happy to hear this. =)

: : hey guys, it's been said that less weight is just as good as more power....okay, so i was considering getting a carbon fiber hood. But how much difference does weight make? Anyone know how much a stock hood weighs? Anyone know how much an ///M3 lightweight weighs? Cuz the lightweight has the 3.0 engine, and goes 0-60 in 5.2, a huge improvement from the 95 m3's 6.1 ish 0-60. Any info would be appreciated...thanks people.

: Jimmy,

: l don't know where you got your numbers but they don't seem accurate. All the tests l have seen show the 95s doing 5.3-5.5 0-60 times...the only M3s to do the 0-60 slower than 6 were that 99 last tested in C&D in the S4 comparo (6 flat) and the M3 luxo automatic...(6.4)...my car Gtech'd did 5.29 0-60 when it was stock. and it also has the 3.0. never seen a 95 M3 do 0-60 in more than mid 5s unless the driver is asleep.

: cheers,

: Peter
