I got the AVS sports and can tell you the following:
They're much better than dunflop's 8000 (which is the same rating as RE930). They're on par with the Michelin MXX3s in terms of dry grip (this is what I've driven) and should be better in the wet (thanks to different design). I haven't driven both in the wet so that's purely from observance, but in the dry I know that they are on par. they're not quiute as strong in the sidewall as the pilots, but that kills road noise and makes the car more compliant and less jagged.
