The LTW splitter consists of 3 main pieces. Two moustahces that are bolted to the bumper (just like that special 325is they made in 94 or 95) and the center protruding plane that kinks up in the center. This center piece is bolted directly into the chasis via some crossmemeber and can be pushed forward and backward to adjust the length of protrusion, and hence downforce.
