: when i was installing aluminum pedals last month i had to press the clutch pedal down with my hand in order to drill straight holes into the plate. i noticed that the clutch doesn't hit the center of the clutch stop; it hits to the left. also, i can wiggle the clutch slightly side to side if i put enough pressure on it although it always returns to its off-center position. if i press on the clutch really hard (much harder than normal or even spirited driving) the clutch will slide off the left side of the clutch stop and travel all the way down to the floorboard. it worries me that this might happen while driving the car and i won't be able to reengage the clutch if it gets stuck unless i stop to pull it up and away from where it's caught on the underside of the clutch stop. my car is a '95 certified pre-owned and i haven't spoken to a dealer about this yet -- i'm far from sure they'd do anything about it anyway.
has anyone else approached a dealer with this problem?
: To all,
: Has anyone experienced their clutch pedal warping/bending? On my 98 M3 the clutch pedal arm is warped/bent to the left and hits my UUC Clutch stop on the left of edge of the pad. It also did this with the factory plug.
: Anyone else experience this problem, and have you had it repaired/replaced under warranty?
: Is there a service bulletin on this? Where can I research service bulletions on the web?
