I have a set of the red hi-performance wires from BavAuto on my '88 535is. The verdict, well, they look good and there isn't a "con" that I can mention. The engine performed well with the stock wires and I felt no noticeable diff with the bigger wires. So I guess it means that I replaced them for the look. Also, I've tried the "split fire plugs", the result was no bigger spark than the Bosch silver plugs,....same goes for Jacob's bigger better spark box. I did a comparison against the stock coil and got no bigger better spark and this was done at night,..with the plug out. However, I did once get a big ass "SHOCK" while I was adjusting the position of the box with the ignition on...engine off
. Now, hear me, I'm not saying that these items have "NO" benefits,....they just didn't have any bennies for my BMW. I guess the ignition systems in BMW's are that good. Spend your money on other goodies....
