I have a set of the red hi-performance wires from BavAuto on my '88 535is. The verdict, well, they look good and there isn't a "con" that I can mention. The engine performed well with the stock wires and I felt no noticeable diff with the bigger wires. So I guess it means that I replaced them for the look. Also, I've tried the "split fire plugs", the result was no bigger spark than the Bosch silver plugs,....same goes for Jacob's bigger better spark box. I did a comparison against the stock coil and got no bigger better spark and this was done at night,..with the plug out. However, I did once get a big ass "SHOCK" while I was adjusting the position of the box with the ignition on...engine off. Now, hear me, I'm not saying that these items have "NO" benefits,....they just didn't have any bennies for my BMW. I guess the ignition systems in BMW's are that good. Spend your money on other goodies....
