it's possible but expensive as sin.

The transmitter that's sold for the E38/E39/E46 does not fit our cars, as the sunroof motor is in the way. There is a version for the Z3 that I have not tried, but the neatest and cleanest is....

the rearview mirror from an E46 convertible. It has the transmitter and the LED for the alarm. Very trick. The only part that sucks is the price, $285 with a 25% discount off list. It costs the same for auto-dim and non-auto dim versions, so obviously I went for the auto dim. As far as power, it's easy to do- two wires from your overhead lights will provide both transmitter and auto dim, two more if you want the alarm led to light up, and one more if you want the mirror to automatically undim when you pop the car in reverse.

I'll be posting more details to most of the common FAQ sites later, but for now if anyone wants more info email me and I can give part#s, pinouts, etc. (i don't have them in front of me at the moment.)

'95 325, to be a 332 this week, many, many interior mods along with the usual performance goodies.
