I have BFG g-Force TA/KD's on my 97 M3 with about 11K miles on them. They're supurb dry tires, excellent for auto-x. However, I was planning to switch to a tire that would give me better wet traction and better wear, maybe Pilot Sports or Yoko AVS Sports. But I blew my left rear this weekend (looks like the sidewall sheared off the tread on the inside of the tire) and it has kind of put me in a spot. I trying to figure out my options. I could just get a another and minimize my cost but that might hurt the handling. Or I could get two BFG rears which might work out OK since the fronts seem to wear a lot less. In this case I should be able to go ~15K before all four would need to be replaced. I could also just get another brand for the rears but I've heard that not such a good idea. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
