My brakes (esp. the rears) make weird "clunking" noises as if the calipers are "shifting" when I reverse and brake at very slow speeds. Also, when the car is off, and I push the car (in neutral), it sounds as if the pads are rubbing against the rotors. Is this normal? Or is this possibly attributed to improper installation?
Despite Porterfield's "no squealing" guarantee, my brakes squeal like a bitch and there's exceptional vibration when I brake hard. No, I don't think this is ABS-related, 'cause the vibes feel stronger than when I braked hard with the stock rotors and pads.
Any theories? Is it possible that the old pads were removed & inadvertently installed on my car?
