1. Trunk must be close (shut).

2. The weather stripping on your window may need some adjustment.

: Hello...

: Has anyone come across the following problem before ?

: The soft top in my E36 convertibel was working fine all last summer. I didn't use for about a three month period over the winter months, however when I tried to fold the hood down the other day (via the switch), nothing happened. It was working perfectly ok before (albeit three months ago. Has anyone had this type of problem before, and if so what was it ?

: All fuses are ok and all other electrical components of the car are working normally. One thing I have noticed though is that when I touch and let go my drivers side front window switch (in order to make the window close up completely), the glass goes halfway up and then comes straight down again. I have to hold the button pressed down to close the window. Could this be related to the roof problem, ie. it thinks it's already open or something, or is that just a red herring ?

: Any comments would be very much appreciated...
