: I have a PPI PC4300 and a PPI PC4400 mounted under the rear deck on a carpeted plywood shelf. It make for a very clean look and takes up no trunk room. I personally expect no problems whatsoever from mounting the amplifiers in this fashion.
: BTW, I also have JL's Stealthbox speaker and am very pleased with them. I happen to be running JL's "Evolution" component speakers in the kicks and doors too. The entire sound system sounds great.

: : Good:
: : Saves lots of space and looks clean
: : Bad:
: : The amp sits in its own heat. Hot air rises.
: : : You need to get another amp, I got a PPI from netmarket.com, I reccomend them or a rockford fosgate. I mouted the amp upside down under the deck lid of the trunk, you can't even see it nor does it affect the area inside the trunk. good luck, (way to go with jl subs)
