Give BMW Excluservice in Rockville, Md. a try...great shop and good people. Ask for Lothar and tell him I sent ya. Here's the number 301.231.5400

Definitely check for status of the water pump...probably should replace it...damn plastic impeller!

Check all hoses and battery...I'm sure there is more...

: All,

: I need to have a car I want to buy inspected for mechanical soundness by a well qualified mechanic in the DC / Northern Virigina area. Can anyone recommend a mechanic or dealer I can pay to do this type of work???

: Can any E36 Owners comment on specific things I should ask them to look for...

: The car in Question is a:

: 1995 E36 M3 55K Miles. Black on Black. All options except luxury and power seats.

: Comments??? I apologize if this is an obvious question but I'm new to this board. I usually hang on the Z3 forum since I own an M Roadster and looking to purchase this vehicle as a track car.

: Thanks in Advance,
: Sean
