: : After what seemed like a pretty long Saturday, I finally got my new RD Sport sway bars installed and tested 'em out. Very Cool! I guess I picked just the right settings (decided on medium front/hard rear thinking this might compensate for the stock suspension) 'cause the ride home through Mullholland was Hell 'O Fun. Didn't notice any understeer (with help from my recent allignment and shims added for negative camber up front) and the rear stayed planted... I'm happy!

: : Since the Malibu area is obviously full of public roads I didn't get to really push it too hard but yesterday I decided to burn off some of my Easter Brunch energy by hitting some of my favorite (uninhabited) twisties. I have to say these make quite a difference. By the time I was half way through my usual route I was driving with much more confidence than before and the car was glued. It wasn't tail happy at all... very well balanced.

: : Some people had warned me about the "slap" from potholes with after market sways but it's not bad... infact, I kind of like it. The car feels more solid without the sacrifice of too hard of a ride (still makes me even more interested in doing springs and shocks though;)).

: : If anyone is contemplating the addition of sways, I'd be more than happy to pass on some of the advice that I'd been given. I did a lot of shopping around and ended up getting the bars from Eric at Supreme Power Parts (www.supremepowerparts.com) for a hell of a good price. I called him initially because of someone on this list saying how good his customer service is (I'm pretty sure a few people have done a few group purchase through him also)... and it was. He went out of his way to make sure I got the bars I wanted exactly when I wanted them. (no financial interest... just a happy camper)

: : I'll give the bars a real test in about a week and half when PM3 and I go spend the weekend at Streets of Willow... Hopefully I'll be better there than I am at GT2;)
