I am no expert but I believe the exhaust has no effect on emmissions. Assuming we are talking about a cat-back exhaust. It it there to dampen the sound. My guess would be that the race exhaust would be much louder and may be in violation of any sound ordinances that you may have in your area.

: Ive been shopping for a cat back and have norrowed it down to the ucc or supersprint. I noticed there are two exhausts for the US M3 race and non race what would happen if i put the race one on there the same price is it just louder or will it fail emissions?
: thanks,
