I could not get to this board since yesterday afternoon, due to networking problems.

I went over there yesterday, took a CD, and just sat in the Vader for about 30 minutes, playing with the various adjustments and listening to my disc. I think it would take a little time to get used to the Vader butt bolsters, but I don't see it as a big deal breaker. I compared to a 328 with sport seats, and relaized that the 328's seat has a similar butt bolster, just not such a tight holster!

I also visited with the shop, and found out that, during the certification process, they would not normally uncover a mechanical over-rev flag, should it exist. Nor would they notice whether or not the DME has original software. So, I asked them to drag the car back into the shop, and verify these two things.

I also learned that the certif will run until the end of 2002, which I figure is pretty good. Finally, I learned that, no matter what I pay, I get a $500 rebate from BMWNA, since I work for Nortel Networks.
