John,

I had a set of Bridgestone S-02 Pole Positions on my '95 M3 (235 40-17) and loved them. They performed very well in dry conditions and especially well in the wet, compared to the OEM Michelin Pilot MXX3 SX. I just replaced them after approx. 23,000 miles (rears were cooked, front still 40% maybe). I replaced them with the newer Pilot Sport which is Michelin's answer to the Pole Position. They are also OEM on the '99 M3s I believe. I literally just got them on Monday, so I'll have to let you know how they perform. However, if you go to www.tirerack.com, and search for either tire, there will be a link to a performance test comparing these two tires. It is a good read. Honestly, though my decision was a tough one.

Good luck,

Patrick
