I forgot to mention a couple points:

Both the PP and the Pilot Sports are the same price, so that ought not be a consideration. The PPs have nice stiff sidewalls which I think improve their handling capabilities over the old MXX3. Also, compared to the old MXX3 which had a treadwear rating of 140, the PPs have a 180 rating and the Pilot Sports maintain a 220 rating, so they "should" last longer under "normal" conditions. Both the PPs and Pilot Sports have a little lip bead to protect the wheel.
