My previous ride was a 325is in Jet Black.

My M3 is Cosmos Black.

Jet is NOT a metallic color, and is your otherwise plain, basic black. Unlike a metallic or 'pearl' black, there are no special additives in the paint.

Cosmoschwartz is a metallic paint.. if you look closely, there are little grey flakes in it. Under very strong sunlight (like the kind we get in Florida summers), it has a distinctly grey hue. It's kind of a 'dirty' black..

I suppose it looks a bit like unpainted carbon-fiber... at least the same shade of grey/black if not the correct texture.

One thing I notice... Cosmoschwartz is harder to keep looking clean. Have no idea why.

Mike
