Let me start by stating the usual "I'm not trying to step on anybody's toes and start a flame war" stuff. I am just trying to understand these strong opinions against Jim C and UUC.

I really don't understand the problems people on this board have with Jim C. and UUC. I don't think I have ever heard anyone complain about a product from either party. Yes their parts/software are expensive. Is that the only complaint? You really can't expect these people to spend an extraordinary amount of time in research and development and just give the stuff away for $100. That's not realistic. I personally think Jim C.'s CAI seems a little expensive, but that is no reason for me to make personal attacks against him. I may actually purchase one because I trust his work. Does anyone that purchased a Jim C. CAI or software have any problems with it?

Is the complaint that these people strongly believe that their parts/software are the best. Well you have to wonder, if they thought their stuff was inferior would you want to buy it? If it is inferior then shouldn't they "go back to the drawing board" until they are confident that the product performs?

Personally, I like having Jim C. and Rob Levinson posting answers and comments about there products. This may be due to the fact that I feel their products have excellent quality and I hope they continue to prosper.

Just trying to understand. Am I missing something?
