Ive got a 96Cosmos and my buddy has a Jet Black 97 328i. One day we were parked next to each other and we noticed that there was a huge difference in paint colors. The Jet Black is, well, pretty much just plain old flat black - nice, shiny and smooth. But the Cosmos is not truly black. Its more of a metallic, dark dark charcoal color. And depending on the lighting conditions, can vary in shades. I think the best time to look at it is on a clear day at dusk or dawn. Its a very deep color; much more to it than the jet black. Like the name Cosmos suggests, the metallic fleck gives you the impression of looking at millions and millions of stars. I could stare at it all day. Ahhhhhhhhhhh.
