rear wheel rubbing (archive)

i have noticed recently that the passenger side rear tire rubs against the fender lip when i hit bumps or go hard on the gas. i had it on a lift and nothing looks bent but that particular tire sits out an extra inch or two ulike the opposite tire. it is flush w/the car whereas the opposite wheel is well tucked under the fender. i just ordered new tires and am getting a four wheel alignment on the car. should this fix the problem or does something else have to be done as well??
