You could go with a 235/40x17 tire in front on the race wheels for a tad bit better turn-in, especially helpful for autocrossing.

Also, a 255/40x17 would fit on the back, but not if you've lowered the car at all.

I'd think 35s (especially in the front) might be a bit harsh for everyday driving, but they'll certainly look cool.
