I'd love to know where you've gotten this "info"
that (for OBD-II upgrades) "the computer
continually edges them out" because it's the one
piece of misinformation that keeps popping up
that is BEYOND 100% wrong.

NO OBD-II upgrade is "edged out".. that simply
isn't how the computer works.. if you'd like to
know how adaption works, I've prepared a
FAQ on it .. three pages long, PDF, so you'll
need the free Adobe Acrobat Reader.

It's written from the perspective of forced
induction, but the principles are what you want
to grasp.. the cars simply don't do "return to
stock" for any reason. No more than your PC
returns to the previous BIOS autonomically after
you have flashed in a new one.
