Part of the design requires it to be
EXTREMELY secure to protect your original
software. Otherwise you can't return to
stock.

If you were to screw with one and ruin it
your own stock programming and the ability
to "return to stock" your car is lost
forever.

Lastly, I'd take a good long look at the
No Electronic Theft act and decide if the
type of penalties you will face are worth it.

It's a federal offense, and in my day job,
(which btw Ron pays the bills) I see people
caught by it every day.
