Thats what I thought until my went out, I have a 96 m3.

: : : the waterpump (like the other e36 6-cil cars)? And can they cause the same problems?

: :
: : And yes. According to the material I have read in the past. Problems start to appear around 50k miles.

: : I own a '95 with 30k miles. No problems thus far but I am not taking any chances. The water pump is scheduled to be changed some time this summer.

: I will take exception to that. It was only the early '95 that had a problem with the plastic impeller. You can consult your dealer at not charge, just give them the vin number and they will tell you if there is a recall on the model and correct it if necessary.
