I don't even want to think what a new M5 engine might cost ... also, consider that you will have to change all that transmission stuff so you don't blow it up when you try to apply all that torque ... you are probably seriously talking $30K+ once all is said and done.
Honestly, I think it certainly makes for good fantasies ... but practically speaking, you might as well try to stuff a V-12 in there, and for the cost and trouble of the heart transplant you might as well just sell the M3 and buy an M5 and supercharge it like ERT is doing.
