Was cruising back home at about 8PM on the Vet's expressway (a.k.a. Vet's speedway by TampaturboM3!!)which is my alternate route. I was cruising about 70 when an RX7 TT rocketed by well in excess of 100MPH. At the time, there was too much traffic for me to feel comfortable pulling behind him. However, at the Waters toll booth, I see him off to the far right side just beyond the gate. As I pull in to toss my coins, I can hear him revving and seeing no traffic ahead, take the bait. I pulled out slowly and reached his point at about 2500 RPM at which point we both stomped down. It was close for about 2 seconds until about midway thru 2nd gear when I started pulling on him I'm at 12psi for street use) and continued to do so thru 3rd and part of 4th when I shut it down, around 100 MPH ahead 4-5 carlengths (there was a curve that I would have loved to take at speed but it's a common cop stop and I don't like cruising at high speeds on the streets when I can't see a good distance ahead of me). He blasted by me as I braked hard but he had to know he was beaten. I LOVE THIS CAR!!! I can have a Rocket when I want it, while still getting the overall "gemutlitchkeit" that comes in spades with an M3. Thanks agian to Tommy (TampaturboM3) who steered me in the right direction (Active Autowerke) when I was considering forced induction...I can't wait to see your new ride. By that time, I am hoping to have my exhaust a full 3" like yours will be.
