Well, I admit his attitude could probably be improved. My problem is that I'm not sure who else I can turn to for problems. Certainly not Steve Dinan, I just took his chip out, and he probably wouldn't answer my q's due to legal issues. (Please read the post I made a couple lines down addressed to him). I bought his chip used, indirectly from a person I trust. I bought a used Euro HFM off of Nick G, and he was getting rid of the chip too because he put a turbo on his car (AA actually). It was a good price and from what I could tell there wasn't too much difference between the AA and Jim C chip. I talked to Sean @ ECIS a lot about this since he sells AA stuff and that's what he told me. I knew that either way (Jim C or AA) the new chip would be more aggressive than the Dinan I had in the car. I've been following this whole debate lately and I'm not sure what side to take, or even if I need to. I think that Jim C does know what he is talking about, but I don't dispute that others do too. However, since I have his chip now, I don't know how other tuners would feel if I went to them for help. Do you think that AA could help me with my question about the cat removal and DME reprogramming? I suppose I could get an AA chip if I found compelling reason to do so. I don't know of any other tuner who reads this board regularly.

Also, what exactly were you and Jim talking about with adaptation, because I think my question to him might have been similar. What did he mean by "The EPA and CARB are well aware of what your "friends" are pulling"? Were you talking about taking the cat out?

I'm just trying to look out for the best interests of my baby -- that is, the arctic silver one sitting outside : )

I'd appreciate whatever light you could shed on the subject.

Thanks,
Ken
