Was H/K Stereo available without the CD changer? (archive)

I'm still looking for my M3. I found one that I was interested in that had a $5000 upgrade to the stereo system. I'm going to have him take out the stereo and replace the stock stereo, which he says was the H/K upgrade. But he said it did not have a CD changer. From what I have seen I thought the H/K upgrade included the CD changer. The car is a 1997 M3, in case that helps. The speakers do say "H/K" on them, but now I'm wondering if the stock speakers say that. I want to make sure I get him to do the right thing, or adjust the price accordingly. So, two questions:

1. Does the H/K upgrade in 1997 include the CD changer?
2. Do only the speakers in the H/K upgrade say "H/K" on them, or are different H/K speakers used in the stock system?

Thanks very much! I hope to finally get my M3 soon!
