Did you look at the long term trim (on think on the Modic it is called multiplicative adaptation) number before you cleared it? If it was a positive number it was adding fuel to your car under WOT. Clearing it out (zeroing it) would have run you a little leaner at WOT and could easily cost you a little power until it re-adapts for more fuel.
