In Reply to: Plastic Impeller hits again??? Help? posted by Dan Wang on June 12, 2000 at 08:53:03:

: Last night I was driving my 8/95 M3 and all of a sudden the temp gauge was in the red. I immediately turned it off to prevent any damage (hopefully).

: I had it towed to the dealership last night for a night drop off.

: I am wondering what the problem could be? The coolant level is fine, but I can definitely hear a sound from the engine that is not normal. Plastic Water impeller? Any insight is appreciated.

: Dan

Got to question why BMW use such cheap parts on such a critical component considering the risk of damaging the engine and all.
