When in the driver's seat, centered at the steering wheel, I see a very slight amount of the horizontal "flags" on the right side of the white vertical thermometer showing to the right of the gauge needle.

You're in fine shape.

By the looks of your gauge I'd say your running "about" .096704398 degrees F too cool!!!!!

: Im probably being neurotic, but someone please reassure me. As long as Ive had my '99, Ive noticed the temp guage is a little to the right of the center. I thought this is how it is supposed to be, but in the archives a lot of people said theirs is in the exact center. It never goes to 3/4 or farther, its just that its not dead center. Is it supposed to be this way, do I have a problem , or is it an optical illusion (when I stick my head to the right of the steering wheel it looks centered).
: Thanks,
