Chris, Black is a beautiful color but very hard to maintain.

If you just got it painted I would wait about 30 days before using any car shampoo and about 90 days before waxing it. This is so the paint can cure and not remove any natural conditioning the paint and clearcoat has in it. You also don't want to seal the new paint surface yet either.

: I read an article you once posted about washing and waxing your car. I just got a (newly painted)black e30 325is and I want to know the proper way to wash and wax this black paint so I don't ruin it and get tons of swirls. I'm used to my old Alpine white 325es and black is alot more work.
