For what's it's worth. Jim C who designed the software to begin with said to expect about 16-22 DYNO hp with intake/software.

So if you feel he (and I) should quote crank numbers then I suggest you suggest to him to rewrite his marketing material.

As far as my example for Import Tuner x-intake making a claimed 5-7 hp and only turning over 1-2 hp, that's my hyperbole of an EXAMPLE. (I remember when HKS and all those guys said their intakes were worth gobs of horsepower, but on the dyno we'd only turn over 1-2 hp net.)

So anyway, we'll have to agree to disagree. Yeah, sure I could've said that the upgrades on my car should propel the M3 from 240 hp to shy of 270hp. But that makes no difference to me and in the best interests of a write-up and people looking to build a similar set-up, I'd rather quote numbers that are extremely conservative rather than optimistic.
