Like most SC's, the blower runs off your "accessory belt" which runs the AC and Powersteering.

So FYI, if your SC ever goes up in smoke again, just cut the belt and drive away. Granted you won't have AC or PC but you can make it home or wherever.

(I blew my pulley tensioners on my supercharged miata once on the way to an auto-x at 3Com. We just cut the belt and did the auto-x all day.)
