I gave my engine-swapped Miata to my brother which I had used for track events. Miss that thing.

Anyway, I'd buy anything above a 96. From what's been popping up opn this board, the 95's are running into all sorts of maintenance issues and old factory faults that were resolved in the 96+ model years.

As far as trackability....the cars stick like glue. (Not as good as my suspensioned out Miata mind you) But the road manners in an M3 on the track are outstanding!
